Never On Wednesday

I have been thinking about of all things, sinks. The place that I am living in is on the old side of 30 years old with its original fittings including some of the light fitting and sinks. It would be nice to have the money to replace some of the stuff, especially the bathroom sink which annoys me every time I use it!

Well day one of the olympics and i have spent most of the time in front of the tv watching one sport or another. I watch using the timeshift function of my hdd recorder so i can fast forward the sports i don’t like.

I did also catch some of the opening ceremony and watch i saw was impressive. I was in the pub from where i ended up after work on friday. I got home before Australia marched out (third from last) but i also fell asleep before that point and only woke up around 6am with the tv still on and the dog happily still asleep on my bed too. I am not a huge fant of the march by anyway. After the first few countries i am ready for something else.

Someone was telling me the other day that despite the recent global financial meltdown that has been going on, there is still good money to be made in stocks. They told me that with futures trading there was still money to be made for the savvy investor willing to do their research and put their money where they believed the money to be made

I was wandering through the store the other day and noticed a huge range of skin care products on offer. Now I have never been a big user of them myself but I have an ex girlfriend who would have been in seventh heaven with the different products on offer. I don’t know whether as a busy mother if she has managed to continue. I hope so!

With the Olympics coming up in the next month I was thinking that I really need to invest in some new tv furniture to be able to kick back and watch some of the good stuff in comfort as I expect that I will be spending a lot of time in front of the tv supporting my country’s athletes. Not sure if it helps but I am not going to take the risk that it might!

I have been thinking of getting a car cover for my vehicle. While I used to laugh at these people that put car covers on their cars but these days I understand. Just parking my car in the driveway it gets dust and grim blown on it and before long it goes from clean to dirty in no time flat. If I can cut down on the amount of time I need to spend cleaning it then that has to be a win!

I was on the bus the other day heading home and a teenage guy got on the bus with the most shocking acne I have seen in quite some time. I was lucky myself as beyong the occasional zit I really didn’t have too much trouble. I did make sure that I washed my face regularly with soap and water but otherwise I was lucky!

With a dog and another one on the way, I need to look at getting a better fence as the one that I have is a little bit past its best by date. Its that fact that I need to start having a look at prices for fence installation to get a better fence to keep my dogs in and the world outside

Winter has arrived in force here today with the forcast calling for a tempreture range of 3 to 7 degrees although i am not convinced that it didn’t start at the higher and dropped. Some of the people at work were paying a lot of attention to the weather on the radio as the forcast was calling for snow down to 200 metres and their road home was higher.

Glad i bought an electric blanket!
