Pool Ball Racks

There is something enjoyable about playing pool when your out on the town. With friends I used to go out playing pool every Thursday without fail. You know the idea, sink a few beers (or sometimes a lot more), play some pool at our favourite bars and have a good time. Good times they were.

I remember one place we used to go to had consistently broken pool ball racks. It always spoiled the racking up of the ball and meant that we had to line up some of the balls by hand. Something that is easy enough sober but when we went drinking the “sometimes a lot more” some of the triangles were just crooked and almost criminal in their crap setting up.

All this remembering back makes me wish for the old days but the thing is looking back ten years it is easy to remember the good times but then the not so good times get forgotten like the best friend sleeping with my girl friend and other good quality moments like that that I had until now forgotten but then I guess that is the joy of memories. The friendship was never the same after and then it wasn’t at all. I think he did me a favour on both accounts, getting me rid of the girlfriend and then me getting rid of him out of my life full stop.

It is amazing how my mind works sometimes really. From thinking about pool ball racks to memories of drunken nights and friends lost.
